It recently was revealed that Josh Hamilton filed for divorce from his wife of 11 years, Katie, around the time his drug relapse went public in February. Apparently, she never saw it coming.
Katie Hamilton told TMZ Sports that she was “blindsided” by the Los Angeles Angels outfielder’s decision.
“It came out of nowhere,” Hamilton said. “There was no big fight or blow up. Nothing sparked it.”
Despite the split, Hamilton said she’ll always have love for her soon-to-be ex-husband.
“I’ve always stood by him, and I’ll always stand by him,” Hamilton said. “I support and love him now and down the road.”
The Hamiltons have three daughters together, who range in age from 3 to 10, as well as a 14-year-old daughter from a previous relationship of Katie’s.
