Julian Edelman Adds To April Fools’ Day With Claim He’s Joining Red Sox

Fresh off a Super Bowl title, Julian Edelman decided it’s time to pursue a World Series ring.

OK, so not really. But the New England Patriots wide receiver joined Wednesday’s April Fools’ Day fun by claiming on Twitter he’s joining the Boston Red Sox.

Obviously, Edelman isn’t really taking his talents to Fenway Park in 2015. But with the Red Sox battling injuries at the tail end of spring training, maybe they should consider adding the 28-year-old wideout as organizational depth.

The only problem is it’s unclear what position he’d play.
