BOSTON — Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love suffered what appeared to be a serious shoulder injury Sunday at TD Garden.
Love was battling Boston Celtics center Kelly Olynyk for a rebound during the first quarter when Olynyk clamped down on Love’s left arm. Olynyk was called for a foul on the play, and Love immediately ran off the court and down the tunnel to the locker room, holding his left shoulder.
ESPN’s Heather Cox reported Love would not return to the game.
The Cavs have only characterized it as a L shoulder injury so far. Not dislocation. Love won't return. Undergoing ice & evaluation.—

Love had averaged 18.3 point and 9.0 rebounds through the first three games of the teams’ first-round playoff series.
