Manny Pacquiao arrived in Las Vegas on Tuesday, and his promoters hosted a fan rally at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. Promoter Bob Arum announced the plans only one day earlier, after announcing last week that Pacquiao won’t participate in the arrival ceremony at the MGM Grand ahead of Saturday’s fight against Floyd Mayweather.

Still, hundreds of Pacquiao supporters attended the event.

While Pacquiao’s entrance was a bit more understated, Mayweather’s will be the exact opposite. The undefeated boxer’s arrival at the MGM Grand Garden Arena will include entertainment from Doug E. Fresh, comedian Ricky Smiley and the Southern University Marching Band.

Arum told ESPN.com that Pacquiao won’t be participating in those events, as he can do “without all the hoopla.”
