The Boston Red Sox put on a clinic against the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday, racking up five home runs en route to an 8-0 win.
But they weren’t the only ones who had the power on Opening Day.
Twenty-nine baseballs left 11 different ballparks on the first full day of the MLB regular season, with Red Sox center fielder Mookie Betts contributing a solo shot and left fielder Hanley Ramirez and second baseman Dustin Pedroia adding two apiece.
Chicago White Sox star Jose Abreu set the bar with a 439-foot moon shot, according to ESPN’s home run tracker. Ramirez’s grand slam, on the other hand, didn’t need much distance to count and was the shortest at 350 feet.
Luckily, there are a lot more where those came from.
