The Pawtucket Red Sox’s polar bear mascot was a little too literal Thursday.

The PawSox’s scheduled game in Scranton, Pa., was snowed out, with a “frozen mixture” blanketing the region, according to a team news release. The PawSox, the Triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, had been scheduled to face the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders at PNC Field.

The game will be made up as part of a double-header Saturday.

The four-game series now begins Friday, when Henry Owens is scheduled to start for the PawSox and Kyle Davies will toe the rubber for the RailRiders.
