The Kentucky Derby might be serious business, but the names of some of the horses are anything but.
The 141st Run for the Roses will take place Saturday at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky., where the mint juleps will be flowing, celebrities will be living large and the big hats will be out in full force for the biggest week in horse racing.
Whether you’re in it for the party or whether you’re all in on American Pharoah — who leads the pack at 5-2 odds — to win the first Triple Crown race of the year, sit back and enjoy some of the more ridiculous racehorse names to ever hit the track. Not all the horses can be winners, but these names — which range from insulting to clever to downright funny — certainly are.
