Ramirez has tied David Ortiz’s team record for the most home runs before the month of May. Ramirez’s 10 homers tie a career high for a single month. He also hit 10 in June of 2008 for the Florida Marlins.

“It’s crazy how (Ramirez) hits the ball hard,” Ortiz said. “It reminds me of my younger days.”

Ramirez is batting .292 with 10 homers, 23 RBIs and a .341 on-base percentage in 21 games.
