BOSTON — The Red Sox’s offense carried them again in Monday night’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays at Fenway Park.

Mookie Betts collected Boston’s 11th hit of the game in the top of the ninth inning on a walk-off single, giving the Sox a 6-5 win.

Here’s a closer look at Monday’s game.

GAME IN A WORD
Exciting.

These teams combined for 16 hits, 11 runs, six extra base hits and some intense moments late in the game, including the Red Sox having the bases loaded with no outs in the eighth inning and a walk-off in the bottom of the ninth inning.

IT WAS OVER WHEN…
Betts hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning with men on second and third base. It was Betts’ first career walk-off RBI.

IN THE BATTER’S BOX
— Red Sox third baseman Pablo Sandoval hit a two-run double in the first inning, scoring David Ortiz and Dustin Pedroia. He also hit a solo home run in the fourth inning, the first at Fenway in his Red Sox career. Sandoval left the game after the fourth inning because of neck soreness, per the team. He was replaced by Allen Craig. Sandoval finished 2-for-2 with three RBIs.

— Betts went 3-for-4 with two runs scored. He was also caught stealing in the first inning. Entering Monday’s game, Betts was batting .171 (12-for-70) since Opening Day.

— Sox left fielder Hanley Ramirez went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts.

— The bottom four spots in the Red Sox lineup — Xander Bogarts, Daniel Nava, Ryan Hanigan and Brock Holt — were a combined 2-for-16.

— Blue Jays shortstop Jose Reyes led off the game with a single. He then stole second base and eventually scored on a single by Devon Travis. He finished 1-for-4 with two strikeouts.

— Jays catcher Russell Martin drove in two runs with a first-inning double. He finished 1-for-3.

— Blue Jays second baseman Devon Travis was 2-for-4 with two RBI, two runs scored and a solo home run in the third inning.

ON THE BUMP
— Red Sox starter Joe Kelly struggled in the first inning, giving up three hits and three earned runs. The second inning was the polar opposite: he struck out the side. Kelly also gave up one run in the third and fourth innings. He pitched six innings and allowed five hits and five earned runs, walked three and struck out 10.

— Alexi Ogando pitched two innings of scoreless relief. He gave up one hit, walked one and struck out two.

— Red Sox closer Koji Uehara pitched a scoreless ninth inning with two strikeouts.

— Jays starter Aaron Sanchez pitched 5 2/3 innings and allowed four runs (three earned), five hits, two walks and struck out seven.

— After 1 1/3 scoreless innings of relief by Aaron Loop, Roberto Osuna gave up an earned run in the eighth inning that tied the score 5-5.

— Jays reliever Miguel Castro pitched 1/3 inning and gave up three hits and an earned run.
