Let’s face it: New England sports fans are pretty spoiled these days.

Sure, there have been plenty of bad times in the region’s sports history. The Boston Red Sox suffered 86 years without a World Series win. The New England Patriots certainly weren’t the powerhouse they are today throughout most of their pre-Tom Brady/Bill Belichick era existence.

But in 2015, it’s good to be from New England, and the Red Sox put that into perspective during their home opener Monday. The Sox honored the Patriots’ Super Bowl-winning 2014 season during their pregame ceremony, and they showed off the Pats’ four Lombardi Trophies along with Boston’s three Commissioner’s Trophies.

Now, that’s impressive.

So, New England sports fans, if you’re ever feeling down about a bad Red Sox, Patriots, Boston Bruins or Boston Celtics loss, just remember that there are teenagers who don’t remember a time when Boston wasn’t the most dominant sports city in the country. That should make you feel better.
