UPDATE (3 p.m. ET): The NFL confirmed it has fined the New York Jets $100,000 for owner Woody Johnson’s comments about then-New England Patriots cornerback Darrelle Revis. The Patriots were not disciplined on the Jets’ counterclaim.

ORIGINAL STORY: The NFL reportedly has reached a verdict on the Darrelle Revis tampering issue.

The NFL will fine the Jets $100,000, the New York Daily News reported Tuesday, citing a league source. The Jets, however, will not lose a draft pick for public comments made by owner Woody Johnson about Revis, then with the New England Patriots.

The NFL reportedly was investigating the Patriots for tampering, too, after Revis signed with the Jets, but the Patriots won’t be disciplined, according to the New York Daily News. The Jets filed tampering charges after Patriots owner Robert Kraft told reporters the team would have loved to have Revis back.

Revis signed a five-year, $70 million contract with the Jets after NFL free agency began last month.
