Shane Ray, NFL First-Round Draft Prospect, Cited For Marijuana Possession

Poor timing, Shane Ray.

The Missouri All-American pass rusher is touted as one of the top prospects in this week’s NFL draft, but he might have hit a road block.

That’s possession of “35 grams or less” of marijuana on the police log. That’s a really wide scope of what amount Ray might have had, but considering he was released, it probably wasn’t much.

Still, this isn’t a positive on Ray’s record, especially three days before the draft.

NESN.com’s Doug Kyed has Ray going to the Cleveland Browns at No. 12 in his latest mock draft. That, of course was before this news, which likely will drop Ray on many teams’ draft boards.
