The 119th Boston Marathon was a rainy and windy affair.
More than 30,000 runners and a massive number of spectators braved the less-than-ideal weather conditions, however, and made the 2015 affair a special one.
The storied race was filled with touching displays of sportsmanship, heartwarming moments and feel-good stories that certainly overshadowed the tough weather.
From women’s wheelchair division champion Tatyana McFadden honoring the youngest victim of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, Martin Richard, to a sweet and well-planned proposal at the finish line to fan-favorite Meb Keflezighi creating an awesome moment on Boylston Street, this year’s race was incredible in many ways.
