Only Raul and Alfredo Di Stefano have scored more goals for Real Madrid than Cristiano Ronaldo, but that likely will change in the not-too-distant future.
Ronaldo scored his 300th goal for Real Madrid on Wednesday, helping the Spanish giant earn a 2-0 win over Rayo Vallecano in La Liga (Spain’s first division).
Although Ronaldo’s 300th came amid Real Madrid’s heated race with Barcelona for the La Liga title, we should stop for a moment or 20 and take stock of the Portuguese superstar’s accomplishment. One YouTube user compiled video of all 300 of Ronaldo’s goals for Real Madrid.
Ronaldo joined Real Madrid from Manchester United in 2009 in a transfer worth £80 million ($117 million). Ronaldo has more than justified his world-record fee by scoring an average of more than one goal per game.

Ronaldo’s goal-scoring record compares favorably with Raul’s and Di Stefano’s — two titanic figures in Real Madrid’s distant and recent history.

Ronaldo’s right foot has been the source of most of his goal-scoring success in Spain.

Simply put, Ronaldo is one of the all-time greats, and we should appreciate being alive to witness the best years of his career.
