Adam Jones and the Baltimore Orioles laid the smackdown on the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday, but they were knocked down a few pegs just hours later.

Jones, an avid pro wrestling fan, took full advantage of the WWE being in Baltimore on Sunday night, as the O’s center fielder and a couple of teammates hit up WWE’s “Payback” pay-per-view event at Baltimore’s Royal Farms Arena.

Flanked by shortstop J.J. Hardy and outfielder Steve Pearce, Jones and the Orioles actually became a small part of the show. The Orioles were called out by the New Day, the WWE’s tag team champions, as they cut a promo on the O’s prior to their match.

The WWE actually had a busy day in Baltimore, as world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins attended the Orioles-Angels game Sunday afternoon. He threw out the ceremonial first pitch to, who else, Jones.

Jones and his Orioles teammates also posed for this priceless photo, which admittedly will come off as rather weird for anyone who doesn’t follow wrestling.
