Washington State pitcher Layne Bruner beaned Arizona State’s Johnny Sewald in the sixth inning Saturday night, but at least the batter was nice about it.

Bruner nailed the Sun Devils outfielder on his right side, but it didn’t seem to faze Sewald too much, as he caught the ball under his arm and casually tossed it back to the Cougars pitcher as he took his base, much to the delight of the commentator.

The play loaded the bases, but the Cougars were able to get out of the jam. However, ASU went on to win 6-5 in the bottom of the 11th.
