The Boston Red Sox have struggled mightily offensively of late, but that certainly wasn’t the case Saturday night.

Boston rebounded against the Los Angeles Angels in the middle game of their series at Fenway Park, taking an 8-3 win just one day after being crushed by the Halos 12-5. A big part of that was manager John Farrell’s decision to switch up the lineup.

Farrell slotted second baseman Dustin Pedroia into the leadoff spot Saturday night and created a heavily right-handed lineup to take on southpaw C.J. Wilson. The move paid off, and the Red Sox coasted to victory with a chance to win the series Sunday.
