Boston Red Sox’s Offense Struggling To Produce Runs In May (Video)

The Boston Red Sox have seen improvement from their starting pitching over the last week, but the offense continues to struggle.

Boston ranks 12th among the 15 American League clubs in both runs scored and hits this season. The Red Sox also are batting just .137 (14-for-102) with runners in scoring position this month.

A lot of Boston’s hitters already have 100-plus at-bats on the season, so we possibly could see some changes to the lineup in the near future if better results aren’t seen.

The Sox open a three-game series against the Texas Rangers on Tuesday night. Check out manager John Farrell’s thoughts on the team’s struggling offense in the video above.
