Ex-Patriots QB Ryan Mallett On Wells Report: ‘I Play For The Texans’

If former New England Patriots backup quarterback Ryan Mallett knows anything about deflated footballs, he’s not saying.

Mallett was asked about the Wells Report on Monday and feigned ignorance.

“What’s that?” he asked, via the Houston Chronicle’s John McClain. “I play for the Texans.”

Mallett was selected 74th overall by the Patriots in the 2011 NFL Draft. He played with the Patriots for three seasons before being traded to the Texans on Aug. 31, 2014.

Mallett completed just one pass on four attempts with the Patriots for 17 yards with one interception.
