Grady Jarrett’s dream’s of making it to the NFL finally came true on Saturday when the former Clemson defensive tackle was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons with the 137th overall pick in the draft.

That joyful moment was somewhat subdued, though, because Jarrett’s house caught fire Friday evening with Jarrett and 50 family members inside during a draft party.

Fortunately everyone was safe.

When the Falcons caught wind of the situation, they immediately sent some relief.

As if Jarrett didn’t have enough motivation to perform well in mini camps and OTAs, making the 53-man roster to help his family is just another chip on this young man’s shoulders. Let’s hope all goes well.
