Warning: What you’re about to see probably will hurt to watch whether you’re male or female. But if you’re a dude, it’s probably going to hurt just a little bit more.
Video has surfaced from a recent professional baseball game in South Korea where an umpire’s worst fears were fulfilled. Blue didn’t blow a call or get chewed out by a manager or anything like that. No, this was worse. He took a foul ball directly to the groin.
This happens from time to time, of course. It’s part of the job risks for an umpire or a catcher for that matter. This was a little bit different, though, as this foul ball to the family jewels required legitimate medical attention.
The unlucky ump actually had to be carried off on a stretcher, which means a visit to the hospital also could have been in order. Watch it in the GIF below or click here for video, if you dare.
