That sound you heard was New England letting out a collective sigh of relief.

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski avoided the dreaded “Madden Curse” on Wednesday evening, as Odell Beckham Jr. was named the EA Sports’ “Madden  NFL 16” cover athlete. The New York Giants wideout becomes the youngest athlete to grace the cover of the game, according to ESPN.
