Patrick Kane picked up his first point of the Western Conference finalsĀ in spectacular fashion Thursday.

Kane’s Chicago Blackhawks trailed the Anaheim Ducks by a goal near the end of the first period in Game 3 of their Stanley Cup playoff series. That’s when the 26-year-old superstar decided to take over.

Kane must have eyes in the back of his head, as he somehow managed to beat goaltender Frederik Andersen despite not even looking at the net once.

Kane’s goal — his first since scoring in every game of the Blackhawks’ conference semifinalĀ sweep of the Minnesota Wild — sent the Chicago crowd into a frenzy.

That frenzy didn’t last long, however, as Anaheim’s Simon DesprĆ©s scored his first career postseason goal on a rocket from the right side late in the second period.

Kane had a chance to tie with time running out in regulation but couldn’t recreate the magic, allowing the Ducks to escape with a 2-1 win and take a 2-1 series lead.
