New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is preparing to appeal his four-game suspension from the NFL stemming from DeflateGate, and he’s apparently hired the right lawyer for the job.

According to multiple reports, Jeffrey Kessler is likely to be the main man behind Brady’s defense.

Kessler has represented players in multiple sports over the years, including NFL players Ray Rice and Greg Hardy and former NBA forward Latrell Sprewell. When the league suspended New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma for the entire 2012 season for his role in BountyGate, he ended up playing in 11 games thanks to Kessler.

Kessler also has worked on cases for the players’ unions of the NFL, NBA and NHL, among others.
