Hanley Ramirez Looking To Break Out Versus Wandy Rodriguez, Rangers

Hanley Ramirez is hoping a familiar face will help him get out of his worst slump of the season.

The Boston Red Sox left fielder doesn’t have an RBI this month, but he probably feels good seeing Wandy Rodriguez on the mound as the Red Sox complete a three-game series with the Texas Rangers. Ramirez is 10-for-24 in his career against Rodriguez with a home run.

Shane Victorino, who’s hitting .533 (8-for-15) in his last six games after two hits Wednesday night, was scratched from the lineup after originally being listed as the starting right fielder. It’s unclear at the moment why Victorino was scratched so late.

Red Sox third baseman Pablo Sandoval remains out after being hit on the knee with a pitch in Tuesday night’s series opener.

Clay Buchholz will make the start on the mound for the Red Sox.

Here are the lineups for both clubs.
