Plenty of people dished out the money to watch Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao’s matchup on pay-per-view, but those who didn’t might have been lucky enough to catch coverage of the event on “Saturday Night Live.”

The NBC sketch comedy show created its own version of the fight for its cold open Saturday, starring Jay Pharoah as Mayweather and Aidy Bryant as Pacquiao. “SNL” took jabs at the cost of the fight, Justin Bieber and what ended up being a spot-on prediction about the length of the bout.

And judging by the number of people complaining about Mayweather’s “boring” win by unanimous decision, it’s safe to say that some might have preferred “Saturday Night Live’s” version of the fight over the real thing.
