Ben Ancheff doesn’t possess the build you would expect of a college pitcher — or any athlete, for that matter.

Listed at 6-foot-2, 300 pounds, the St. Thomas University pitcher’s physique looks more like a teenager’s creation in “MLB: The Show” than an actual pitcher. But he took social media by storm Friday night when he started during the final game of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics World Series against Lewis-Clarke State.

Ancheff lasted four innings and limited the Warriors to only one run, but he was forced to leave the game due to arm soreness, per Bleacher Report. Lewis-Clark State went on to win the NAIA World Series with a 10-7 victory, ending the Bobcats’ remarkable run of winning four straight elimination games throughout the tournament.

Losing is never fun, but being the newest internet sensation could serve as a decent consolation prize for Ancheff.
