The Preakness weekend starts Friday with the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes.
Like the Kentucky Oaks serves as an appetizer to the Kentucky Derby, the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes does the same with The Preakness Stakes. The Grade II race runs Friday at Pimlico at 4:50 p.m., and you can catch a live stream of it on NBC Sports.com.
This year, nine fillies will take on the 1 1/8-mile dirt track, but Kentucky Oaks winner Lovely Maria won’t be one of them. The field is still pretty deep, however, as Luminance, Danessa Deluxe and Ahh Chocolate all have a solid chance of being crowned the winner when it’s all said and done.
