Woman Hit In Head With Foul Ball, Ices Enormous Bump With Cold Beer (Video)

Some lady in the Atlanta area woke up Wednesday morning with an enormous bruise, a souvenir from Tuesday night’s Atlanta Braves-Philadelphia Phillies game.

The unfortunate fan was taking in the game at Turner Field when Jace Peterson shot a foul ball toward the third-base dugout. The ball skipped off the dugout and went flying into the stands, where it eventually struck a woman in the forehead.

Luckily, it appears the woman was OK — relatively speaking, of course, as she was struck in the head with a smoked foul ball — but she did suffer one gruesome-looking welt on her forehead. The bump ballooned quickly, leaving her with the unsightly injury.

However, thankfully there was a quick-thinking hero nearby who came to her rescue with a Coors Light. Hopefully, the mountains were blue, as the frosty beer wasn’t meant to drink (at least not right away, though that might have helped some).

Rather, it was used as a makeshift ice pack.

People helping people. It’s powerful stuff.
