Martin Skrtel will stay at Liverpool, according to his agent Karol Csonto. An official announcement from the club has not been made.
“I confess that there were not mere rumours, the interest from (Italian club Inter Milan) was real,” Csonto recently told The Liverpool Echo.“The deal did not go ahead, but there was contact made.
“The player had been thinking about his future and eventually opted to remain at Liverpool.”
Skrtel has been a dependable defender for Liverpool for many years. His tough, physical style of defending has made him a fan favorite as well.
The 30-year-old from Slovakia has played for Liverpool since 2008, making 33 or more Premier League starts in four of the last five campaigns.
