Excuse us, Chicago, but we need to talk about something.

Wednesday’s edition of the Chicago Sun Times celebrated the Blackhawks’ Stanley Cup win, but it also made a rather bold declaration about Chicago sports — a declaration that won’t sit well with many Bostonians.

Ahem.

We see what you did there, Chicago, using the last 25 years to show your dominance. But if you take it back to 2000 rather than 1990, then Boston has nine championships to Chicago’s measly four. Not to mention, The New York Times recently named Boston America’s most successful sports city.

So, you can keep dreaming, Chicago, but Title Town lies nearly 900 miles east of where you think it does.
