Once upon a time, some kid named Tom Brady stole Drew Bledsoe’s job. Now, 14 years later, the former New England Patriots quarterback still is defending that kid.
Bledsoe spoke to NESN’s Michaela Vernava at Tuscan Kitchen in Burlington, Mass., during a private dinner promoting his new wine, Doubleback.
“It’s really kind of crazy because it’s being treated without any comment on whether it’s true or accurate,” Bledsoe said. “It’s being treated like this major crime. Ultimately we’re talking about something that has zero impact on the game.”
Bledsoe practically laughed off the idea of Deflategate, but unfortunately, it’s no longer a laughing matter. Patriots fans only can hope NFL commissioner Roger Goodell takes things as lightly when he hears Brady’s appeal later this month.
