Expected Bulls Coach Fred Hoiberg Once Mocked Joakim Noah’s Shooting Form

The Chicago Bulls reportedly are expected to hire a new coach this week, and his first interaction with one of his new players might be a little bit awkward.

According to multiple reports, Iowa State head coach Fred Hoiberg is expected to be named the Bulls’ new coach as early as Tuesday. Chicago dismissed previous head coach Tom Thibodeau last Friday, and it was expected by many that Hoiberg was the man in waiting.

Hoiberg’s first meeting with Bulls center Joakim Noah might be a fun one as Hoiberg could have some explaining to do. The Score went back and found an old tweet from May of 2013 in which Hoiberg poked fun at Noah’s disastrous shooting form.

Some are saying Noah — who has a bit of a temper — might hold it against Hoiberg, at least to begin their relationship. Then again, it doesn’t take a basketball scouting expert to know that this shooting form is not ideal.
