Jerry Remy: Knee Issue Could Sideline Dustin Pedroia ‘For A Few Days’ (Video)

Dustin Pedroia isn’t back to 100 percent yet.

The Boston Red Sox second baseman will sit for the second time in three days, as he continues to deal with a sore knee. Pedroia was held out of the lineup Tuesday because of the injury, but he returned to the field Wednesday against the Atlanta Braves.

Pedroia struggled mightily in the losing effort, going 0-for-5, and he’ll be out of the lineup for Thursday night’s series finale against the Braves. But NESN’s Jerry Remy believes Pedroia could be out longer than that.

“Little bit of a surprise, Don, you know, because he was back in the lineup after having a day off because of the knee,” Remy said on “Red Sox GameDay Live.” “They said it was swollen, (he) took a day off, came back and played last night. He looked to be playing OK, didn’t look to affect him. Now we come to the ballpark today, and he’s out and may be out for a few days.”

Check out the rest of what Don and Jerry had to say about Pedroia in the video above.
