Manny being Manny just got taken to a whole new level.

As pointed out by Hardball Talk’s Craig Calcaterra, the former Boston Red Sox slugger recently revealed in an interview with Cleveland.com’s Paul Hoynes that he named all three of his sons Manny Ramirez. Yes, you read that correctly.

“Ramirez has three baseball-playing sons,” Hoynes writes. “He named them all Manny. The oldest is a first baseman for the University of San Francisco.”

Hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. That works with names, right?

Hoynes goes on to explain the reasoning behind Ramirez’s name choices in great detail. Just kidding.

The rest of the interview is worth a read, though, as it dives into the upcoming reunion of the 1995 Cleveland Indians team and also touches on Ramirez’s Hall of Fame credentials.

But if nothing else, feel free to bust out this fun fact about his sons at every party you attend in the future.
