Marian Hossa won’t forget this play anytime soon.

The Chicago Blackhawks’ elder statesman had a golden opportunity to tie Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final on Monday night when Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Ben Bishop collided with defenseman Braydon Coburn to the left of the net.

The shot, as Harry Doyle would say, was juuuust a bit outside.

Hossa did draw a penalty on the play, though, and assisted on the ensuing goal by Brad Richards to tie the score. Either way, we’re sure Hossa wishes he had that one back.
