Mike Napoli had another rough night at the plate Friday night, going 0-for-5 with three strikeouts as the Boston Red Sox blew a seven-run lead in a 13-10 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays.
The first baseman, who’s gone 1-for-20 with zero extra-base hits over his five games, addressed his offensive struggles after Friday’s loss.
“I want to do my part to contribute to this offense,” Napoli told reporters, as aired on “Red Sox Final.” “I come here every day thinking it’s the day I’m going to come through. Tomorrow’s a new day. I’m going to wake up, come here and work.”
