Report: Darrelle Revis, Patriots Cornerbacks To Train Together Before Camp

Darrelle Revis is gone, but he’s not forgotten among New England Patriots cornerbacks.

Despite the fact that Revis signed with the rival New York Jets earlier in the offseason, ESPN.com reported he will work out with members of the Patriots’ secondary in Arizona ahead of training camp.

According to the ESPN.com report, Patriots cornerbacks Devin McCourty, Logan Ryan and Tavon Wilson will meet up with Revis on July 12 and train for about two weeks leading into their respective training camps.

They did the same thing last year, according to ESPN.com, although that was on slightly different terms, since Revis was a member of the Patriots. Revis was a huge reason the Patriots were able to return to glory, ultimately winning the Super Bowl. That marriage was a short-lived one, though, as Revis signed a five-year, $70 million contract to return to New York after only one season with New England.

Apparently there are no hard feelings between those current Patriots and Revis, not only in regards to him leaving but also relating to some pointed comments the cornerback recently made. Last month, Revis referenced to the Patriots’ “history of doing stuff” in regards to the ongoing Deflategate controversy.
