Rob Gronkowski Sick Of Partying Critics: ‘What Have I Really Done Besides Dance?’

Rob Gronkowski doesn’t really care if you don’t approve of his partying ways.

The New England Patriots tight end was interviewed by DuJour Magazine recently, and the 26-year-old Super Bowl champ said he didn’t think his penchant for having fun was worthy of the criticism he sometimes receives. The way Gronkowski sees it, his antics don’t get in the way of his dedication to football.

“There’s definitely a time to party and a time to focus on work, but you need to let loose a little bit so that you can go back on Monday feeling refreshed and motivated to work hard again,” Gronkowski told DuJour. “People act like dancing is breaking the law and partying is a crime. Everyone thinks I’m in trouble 24/7, but what have I really done besides dance?”

Gronk even put some thought into making sure his drink of choice doesn’t negatively impact his health, however hilarious he sounds talking about it.

“My drink is usually vodka with water because it gets you hydrated and drunk at the same time,” Gronkowski said.

Come September, you can be sure Gronkowski will be ready to get back on the gridiron. He told the Boston Herald at a youth football camp Sunday that he believes he’s shaken the “injury prone” title after missing just one game in 2014.

“It feels great, definitely, going into the season just thinking that way,” Gronkowski told the Herald. “Going to go all year long. You just have to take care of your body the whole time. You have to keep making sure you stay up on lifting, so your body’s strong. Keeping all up on your eating, massages, all that, so you’re ready to go for all 16 games of the year, no doubt.”
