Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred doesn’t intend to sit on his hands if the league’s All-Star voting process remains an issue.
It’s entirely possible this season’s American League All-Star starting lineup could consist of eight Kansas City Royals players and Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout, creating questions about fan voting. MLB already canceled more than 60 million votes because of improper voting, as some fans are believed to have exceeded their 35-vote limit.
Manfred dropped by Fenway Park earlier this week to discuss several topics, including the voting process. The commissioner vowed to take a “responsive” approach to such issues.
