dillon wreckAustin Dillon is lucky to be alive, but he wasted little time focusing his attention on what he loves the most: racing.

The hot-shot NASCAR driver endured one of the nastiest wrecks in recent history early Monday morning at the Coke Zero 400 as he crossed the start-finish line at Daytona International Speedway.

As the drivers crossed the finish line, someone got into Dillon and sent his No. 3 car flying into the catch fence. Dillon, who had been going at speeds approaching 200 mph, abruptly came to a stop as he went crashing into the fence.

Miraculously, he walked away relatively unharmed.

Dillon spoke to reporters after the race and, judging by his comments, he had already started to look ahead to this week’s race at Kentucky. However, judging by the remarkable scene the horrific crash made, it’s unlikely people will stop talking about “the big one” anytime soon.
