Rex Ryan always has loved the spotlight, but the Buffalo Bills head coach took that notion to new heights Friday.

Ryan teamed up with the U.S. Army’s Golden Knights parachute team, agreeing to fly thousands of feet above Niagara Falls Air Force base and jump out of a moving plane in a skydiving stunt. Why? Because it’s mid-July, and he has nothing better to do.

“I like living,” Ryan told reporters, via ESPN.com. “I just like doing stuff like this, a little thrill seeking. It beats going to a state park, I think.”

The boisterous head coach, who had never jumped from a plane before (surprising, we know), jumped from about 9,000 feet and landed safely on the grass, much to the relief of Bills fans everywhere.

With training camp still a couple weeks away, it’s good to see ol’ Rex getting out and having some fun. Just as long as his free-fall doesn’t represent how the Bills will play this season.
