Surprise, surprise. Jonny Gomes is on his third team in two years, but he’s still feeling the love from his teammates.

The Atlanta Braves outfielder has fit right in with his new squad since leaving the Boston Red Sox and Oakland Athletics to sign a one-year contract with the club this offseason. One of his closest friends is first baseman Freddie Freeman, who admittedly has “always been a hugger.”

Combine those factors, and you get an awesome result: a shared bobblehead of Gomes and Freeman hugging it out, which the Braves dispensed to fans during Tuesday’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

So how does Gomes feel about his first shared bobblehead?

“I definitely wasn’t in the meeting when this was decided,” Gomes told FOX Sports before Tuesday’s game. “But I’ll take it.”

The Braves also will take the events that transpired Tuesday night, as Atlanta went on to beat the Dodgers 4-3.
