The ability to play practically any position was part of what made Brock Holt an All-Star. It also means Holt has little idea what to expect entering Tuesday’s Midsummer Classic.

The Boston Red Sox utility man and All-Star reserve told reporters Tuesday afternoon he’s unsure of how American League manager Ned Yost plans to use him, but that the skipper’s pregame instructions did give him a bit of a hint.

Holt is the only Red Sox representative at this year’s All-Star Game, and he’ll have quite the cheering section on hand in Cincinnati.

Holt’s wife, Lakyn, also had one request of her husband.

“My wife sent me a text earlier and said if I see Pete Rose I need to get an autograph from him,” Hold told reporters, via the Boston Herald. “I guess I’ll try to find him, see where he’s at.”
