The Boston Bruins announced Wednesday they have signed 2015 first-round pick Jakub Zboril to an entry-level contract.

The 18-year-old defenseman from the Czech Republic was selected 13th overall in the 2015 NHL Draft, which was the pick Boston acquired from the Los Angeles Kings as part of the Milan Lucic trade.

Zboril spent the 2014-15 season with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL. He tallied 33 points (13 goals, 20 assists) in 44 games, which ranked third among QMJHL rookie defensemen in scoring.
