Bruins Sign Defenseman Chris Breen To One-Year, Two-Way Contract

The Boston Bruins signed defenseman Chris Breen to a one-year, two-way contract worth $600,000 at the NHL level on Thursday.

Breen played the entire 2014-15 season with the AHL’s Providence Bruins. He tallied 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 52 games. Breen also added one point in five Calder Cup playoff games for the P-Bruins.

The 26-year-old blueliner has nine games of NHL experience, all of which came in 2013-14 with the Calgary Flames.
