Common Won’t Slam Ex-Girlfriend Serena Williams, Calls Body Criticism ‘Crazy’ (Video)

When given the chance to rip ex-girlfriend Serena Williams, Common only could come up with compliments.

Despite winning her 21st major two weeks ago at Wimbledon, Williams has received some criticism. Atlantic editor David Frum was chief among them when he brought up the topic of steroids on Twitter.

One person who won’t criticize her, though, is Common. When asked about the criticism Williams has faced about her muscular body, the rapper/actor said it’s “crazy” and that her body is “a gift God gave her.” He later added that “people pay for them bodies.”

That wasn’t the only nice thing Common had to say about Williams. He also said she is “up in the top” when it comes to greatest athletes of all time.
