BOSTON — Barack Obama has company.

David Ortiz, of course, snapped a selfie with the president of the United States during the Boston Red Sox’s White House visit following their 2013 World Series win. Big Papi again broke out the cell phone Tuesday night at Fenway Park as the Red Sox retired Pedro Martinez’s No. 45.

Ortiz was one of several former teammates to participate in Martinez’s number retirement festivities. Former Boston catcher Jason Varitek even caught Martinez’s ceremonial first pitch.

It appeared Ortiz was the only one looking to capture the moment in the form of a selfie, though. And why not? Pedro is right on par with the POTUS as far as Red Sox Nation is concerned.
