Tiger Woods insisted this week he’s far from being “buried and done.” His start at the 2015 British Open would suggest otherwise.
The 39-year-old got off to a horrendous start at St. Andrews on Thursday, bogeying his first two holes and quickly falling to the bottom of the pack.

That brutal start featured some pretty tough shots, including his second of the day, in which he somehow managed to find the drink with nothing but fairway in front of him.
Oh no Tiger. Half missed his opening tee shot then this. Hope he can settle down.

Tiger’s struggles weren’t lost on ESPN’s commentators, and analyst Paul Azinger didn’t spare the 14-time major champion.
“It’s hard to watch the greatest player of this generation be a middle-of-the-pack hack,” Azinger said on ESPN’s broadcast, via For The Win.
Azinger wasn’t done.
“Here’s a stat for you: Tiger Woods is 21 over par for his last 45 holes at major championships,” he said. “You almost want to say, ‘Who are you and what have you done to Tiger Woods?'”
If the “real” Tiger Woods was indeed missing, he didn’t return for the back nine, as Woods finished the first round tied for 133rd with a plus-4 76.
