West Bromwich Albion probably wouldn’t have been able to contain Kaka when he was in his prime, so the Premier League club shouldn’t feel bad about conceding this goal.

Kaka, 32, scored a superb solo goal for Orlando City SC on Wednesday in its 3-1 home win over West Brom in an exhibition game at the Citrus Bowl. The goal was a throwback to Kaka’s international soccer heyday, when he dominated games for AC Milan and Brazil’s national team.

Kaka spectacularly struck seconds before halftime when he received a pass inside the center circle, surged 45 yards forward, shrugged off a defender and beat West Brom goalkeeper Boaz Myhull with a well-placed shot to the far post.

Kaka’s goal tied the score at 1-1 and sparked his team, which scored twice in the second half to claim the victory over their visiting opponents.

Kaka, FIFA’s World Player of the Year and Ballon d’Or winner in 2007, is enjoying a fine first season in MLS, having joined Orlando City last year in a high-profile transfer from AC Milan.
